Treatment
We use both conventional medical methods and the most modern, innovative procedures.
The practice specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of back pain disorders, including in patients who have previously undergone surgery. As proven specialists, we offer CT-supported therapies for the spine in cooperation with a private radiology practice in Hamburg.
In sports medicine, we treat acute injuries and chronic overuse-related illnesses with highly effective and gentle procedures such as Axomera.

Axomera
The method is based on the modulation of the body's own bioelectric fields. Find out more
Axomera
Did you know that injured limbs and organs in the axolotl grow back completely – including the heart and brain?
During regeneration, its tissue generates small bioelectric fields.
This phenomenon is the basis of Axomera Therapy.
“Bioelectric fields are the basic signals for inflammation and regeneration. As with the axolotl, we use them to inhibit inflammation and direct the cells to where they are needed for healing.” Prof. Dr. Albrecht Molsberger
Bioelectric fields control wound healing. Cells migrate in electric fields. For example, fibroblasts, epithelial cells, mesenchymal stem cells, nerve cells and immunocompetent cells.
In orthopaedics and sports medicine, we treat the following diseases with Axomera:
-
Muscle fiber tears
-
Achilles tendinitis
-
Inflammation of other tendons, e.g. shoulder
-
Torn ligament
-
Pain in the cervical spine, thoracic spine and lumbar spine
-
Trochanter pain
-
Nerve pain
-
Postoperative pain after knee joint replacement TEP
In pain therapy, we treat with Axomera:
-
Migraine
-
Headache
-
Cluster headache
-
Trigeminal neuralgia
We are also seeing improvements in patients with the most severe pain conditions that we would not have previously thought possible.
For the patient, the treatment is similar to acupuncture.
Ultra-fine needles – thinner than acupuncture needles – are placed and stimulated with a field specific to each patient.
The stimulation is painless and lasts 30 minutes.
As a rule, 2 to 6 treatments are carried out.
The treatment has no side effects.

CT-interventional PRT (periradicular therapy)
Outpatient CT-supported procedure for treatment of the spine and SI joint. Find out more
CT-interventional PRT (periradicular therapy)
Used for:
-
Herniated disc
-
Compression of nerve roots
-
Spinal stenosis/spinal canal stenosis (narrowing and compression of the spinal canal)
-
Wear and tear of the small vertebral joints (osteoarthritis)
-
Inflammation of the SI joint (sacroiliac joint)
Anti-inflammatory and decongestant medication is administered precisely and accurately to the area of the spine where it is causing the problem, as planned in the CT scan.
In addition to the anti-inflammatory, the injected drug mixture contains a local anesthetic.
In addition to the generally known effect of local anesthesia, local anesthetics influence pain processing. Nerves that have become highly sensitive work normally again and their excitation threshold is brought back to the normal level.
During therapy, we apply anti-inflammatory and decongestant medication directly to the compressed and inflamed nerve root in the spine. Narrowing of the spinal canal and wear and tear of the small vertebral joints can also be treated in this way.

Joint injections / biological therapy
Injections with hyaluronic acid, biological preparations for tissue regeneration or less frequently indicated with steroids

High-energy focused shock wave therapy
High-energy sound waves are directed to inflamed tendons and tendon sets.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture is one of the
evidence-based therapies.

Chirotherapy
In chiropractic therapy, specific movements are used to manually unblock blockages.

Neural therapy
Chronic irritation processes are broken through, interference fields are treated and eliminated.
